    Selection of seasonal positions occurs during February. The application (State of WY Employment Application) should be in by the end of January or the first week of February at the latest.

  • Bureau of Land Management

    Applications due ASAP. There are fire crew positions and environmental positions. You need to apply at the job service which is next to the Cody BLM office. There may be other openings throughout the season.

  • Montana Game, Fish, and Parks

    Application (State of MT Employment Application) due date depends on the position. Your best bet is to call the job line on a weekly basis for position updates.

  • National Park Service

    Application (Form 10-139, Application for Seasona l Employment) due date is Jan. 15. Positions available include biology and forestry technicians, park ranger, recreation aid, landscape architect, and guides. To obtain the application call or write: Intermountain Region, NPS, 12795 Alameda Pkwy, Denver, CO 80225 (303-969-2020). Calling the individual parks may help to find out specific job information.

  • Student Conservation Association

    : (603) 543-1700 or SCA over the Internet. The selection process for summer positions starts on March 1. These positions usually provide money for food, transportation, and housing. Although you probably will not pad you bank account, these positions provide GREAT job experience and a possible "in" for federal jobs.
