BIOLOGY 1010 Lab
This page of Bioll 1010, General Biology I Lab, at Northwest College, is intended to provide you with some information that may help you succeed in lab. You will find instructions for writing lab reports, and images from lab exercises you have already completed.
We hope these images will make studying for the exams easier and less confusing. We are
not labelling the images, but rather are providing them as you saw them in class. Please use your notes from the lab for specific information. Note: Some of these images may take a short while to load.

Exam review material
The following links will provide you with images and ideas that will help you to review some of your lab material for both the first and last section of the course.
- The Virtual Genetics Page at the University of Cincinnati gives a nice review of mitosis, meiosis, punnett squares, and Mendelian genetics. Images and text are found here.
- Cell Division at the University of Manitoba has images of onion root tips and whitefish blastula cell divisions (mitosis) much as you saw them in lab. You can also review meiosis concepts here. Good diagrams and images.
Writing a Biology Lab Report
This page reviews some guidelines for designing and writing a lab report for biology. Only some students will have chosen this grading option, which is only available in J. Campbell's lab sections.
